TIPS and TRICKS FOR SPEAKING

Unlike other language tests, PTE ( Pearson Test for English Academic) also includes speaking module, and this module is one of critical modules of PTE. In PTE EXAM PREPARATION speaking plays vital part in getting 65+ or 79+ according to need of aspirants. It is just because PTE speaking also provide hefty marks for reading and listening. Lets see in followings how it is linked with other modules. Here are some tips & tricks for speaking for better scores.

PTE SPEAKING Section Correlation with other modules

Many of us confuse with this term when we are about to take our first attempt or even we hear about the term PTE. There is no doubt that in PTE EXAM PREPARATION speaking is the main module to target on.

In speaking module we have READ ALOUD section which provides marks for speaking and reading sections, and Repeat sentence, Retell lecture section, Answer short questions provide marks for both speaking and Listening. If you want to perform better in any of the sections, please specifically focus on these subsections to maintain good grades in not only speaking but also in other integrated sections like reading and listening.

SECTIONS IN PTE EXAM PREPARTION FOR SPEAKING

1. Read Aloud :-In this section there will be 5-6 paragraphs, and we need to speak at our natural speed.
2. Repeat Sentence:- This is one of the important sections of speaking and also provide marks for Listening. Here you hear an audio in question and you have to repeat it with same words or with the same meaning. In exam, there will be 8-12 repeat sentences.
3. Describe Image:- In this section, there will an image in PTE EXAM and you need to explain that image in your words explaining whatever you are seeing on your monitor. In Exam there will be 5-6 images of different categories.
4. Retell lecture:- In this section, you will hear audio and simultaneously you need to take notes from that audio and then you need to speak all notes in your microphone. This section provides marks for Listening section as well. In Exam, there will be 2-3 Questions in this section.
5. Answer Short Questions:- In this section, you will hear a question and you need to answer it in one word. In exam there will be 7-8 questions.

Tips and Tricks for PTE EXAM PREPARATION SPEAKING

1. You need to speak in chunks to avoid breakage in voice continuity.
2. Avoid to take false starts in Read aloud.
3. Always try to write every first letter of word in Repeat sentence to repeat it without any mistake.
4. In Describe image use template to maintain oral fluency and pronunciation.
5. In Retell lecture use template for start but try to gather more keywords for answer.
6. Never take uneven pauses and also avoid intentional pauses on comma, and full stop. These pauses should be natural so do not even practice specifically to stop on comma and full stop.
